Platforms that model a person from their own data have become common. Most of them are built so that the model, and the data behind it, sit with the operator rather than the person. The commercial logic follows from that: the more the platform knows, the more it is worth — and the less reason it has to give anything back.

Plattformen, die eine Person aus ihren eigenen Daten modellieren, sind verbreitet. Die meisten sind so gebaut, dass Modell und zugrundeliegende Daten beim Betreiber liegen statt bei der Person. Die kommerzielle Logik folgt daraus: Je mehr die Plattform weiß, desto mehr ist sie wert — und desto weniger Anlass hat sie, etwas zurückzugeben.

BIOTWIN inverts that arrangement. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0, can be self-hosted, and is designed so that no operator is structurally required.

BIOTWIN dreht diese Anordnung um. Es steht unter AGPL-3.0, ist selbst hostbar und so angelegt, dass kein Betreiber strukturell nötig ist.

The build is complete; the accompanying working paper, which sets out scope, method, and limits, is being finished. Code and paper are released together — a platform of this kind without a written account of what it does and does not claim would be the wrong way round.

Der Bau ist abgeschlossen; das begleitende Working Paper, das Umfang, Methode und Grenzen darlegt, wird fertiggestellt. Code und Paper erscheinen gemeinsam — eine Plattform dieser Art ohne schriftliche Darlegung dessen, was sie beansprucht und was nicht, wäre die falsche Reihenfolge.

BIOTWIN is software for structuring and viewing one's own data. It is not a medical device, it makes no diagnosis, it gives no treatment recommendation, and it replaces no medical consultation. Anything that would fall under those categories is out of scope by design, and the working paper states this explicitly.

BIOTWIN ist Software zum Strukturieren und Betrachten eigener Daten. Es ist kein Medizinprodukt, stellt keine Diagnose, gibt keine Behandlungsempfehlung und ersetzt keine ärztliche Beratung. Alles, was unter diese Kategorien fiele, liegt konstruktiv außerhalb des Umfangs; das Working Paper hält das ausdrücklich fest.

The AGPL is not going to be traded away. Anything commercial would therefore sit beside the code, not on top of it: operation for people who do not want to self-host, integration, support, adaptation for specific settings. Whether any of that happens is open — it is shown here to find out whether there is interest at all.

Die AGPL wird nicht weggehandelt. Kommerzielles läge deshalb neben dem Code, nicht darüber: Betrieb für Leute, die nicht selbst hosten wollen, Integration, Support, Anpassung für bestimmte Umgebungen. Ob davon etwas zustande kommt, ist offen — gezeigt wird es hier, um herauszufinden, ob überhaupt Interesse besteht.
